History of Mental Solution Program using Vipasana

            Mental Solution Program using Vipasanawas created in May 21, 2010 at PuthMondulVipasanaThurak of Cambodia in Psardek commune, Ponnhealeu district, Kandal Province, Cambodia. At first, this program was called “Vipasana Advertising Program”.

            This program is set because Cambodian influenced Buddhism since third century and people also have studied and practiced. Moreover, Cambodian government included Buddhism in constitutional rules as well.

            This program refers to one part of ThurakVipasana while there are two kinds of Thurak which are KuntheakThurak and VipasanaThurak.

            According to the book called “Lakhantekak”, belonging to PuthMondulVipasanaThurak of Cambodia, is the main goal of Venerable Sam Bunthoen, former director of VipasanaThurakand lecturer of the monks, who died but kept many fantastic achievements.

            On behalf of Buddhism and students of Venerable Sam Bunthoen, we created such a program in order to improve Buddhism and VipasanaThurak, Venerable Sam Bunthoen’s achievement. This can be achieved effectively unless all are unit either age or race.

            There are very few people understanding about ThurakVipasana nowadays whereas many people understand deeply about KuntheakThurak that causes both VispasanaThurak and KuntheakThurak can’t go coincidently. Relatively, some people used to know about KuntheakThurak while others used to know only VipasanaThurak. But when well-educated people in Buddhism speak it out, some seems to be got up whereas others stay still with what they used to think which is right already.

            Furthermore, broadcasting of VipasanaThurak is still limited even in Asian countries which are the birth place of the Buddha. Actually, VipasanaThurak is very helpful including making people be smart, get healthy, have bright skin forever.

            VipasanaThurak is a wonderful dharma that can promote people to be full of knowledge. Not only people that can arrive Nipean, the place that no sorrow, but also anyone such as mankind, animals, Angels, and Brahma. There are too many advantages of VipasanaThurak to show in one time, so we need to create this program to make it detail.

            This program was renamed as “Mental Solution Program using Vipasana” in September 28, 2011 so as to be more popular in aim of promoting completion the age of 5000 year of Buddhism.

            Orientation

1.      To involve in helping people to solve their mental problem in order to find peace for themselves and society.

2.      To educate people in going through the way of live including Buddhism way and social way.

3.      To strengthen bothVipasanaThurak and KuntheakThurak especially to achieve the three states such as Moral, Meditation, and intellect.

4.      To preserve Buddhism and Khmer civilization.

+ To facilitate and reconstruct the morality and the way that Buddhism is doing by:

-          Educating directly to public in all ages ( children, adolescents, and adults)

-          Preparing short courses for people via pagoda or the requested milieus

-          Broadcastingvia radio, the internet, and other medias

-          Creating teaching program and  Question and Answer Program

2.      Create VipasanaThurak courses

-          We have yearly courses for this program

-          We focus on solving mental problem by no class and race division

-          We also have seven-day short course that make Buddhism easier

-          After taking seven-day short course, the candidate can take an exam for certificate verified by Minister of Religions and Cults

3.      Create sub-association

-          The associate is created by a group of volunteers including monks and some Buddhism in local area by affording for Mental Solution Program using Vipasana.

-          Not only monks and some Buddhism who afford this program, but also provincial and abroad people.

4.      Create educating program in various milieus

-          Program is depending on requesting by some people

-          To educate monks, intellectual, children, adolescent, students to know about the way of practicing in Buddhism.

5.      Prepare affairs and management structure

The compositions of Mental Solution Program using Vipasana are:

-          Council group plays roles asexecutive and legislative power of the program, control, evaluate teamwork, and especially response for their own roles in the program with assistance.

-          President manages the program being determined as the roles. In case of urgency, the leader can decide first before announcement.

-          Vice-president acts as advertiser, facilitator, and follower of ordering from the president.

-          Administrator and secretary play roles as administrative president and secretary of the program, general administration, direct assistance of the president, and assistance of the council group.

-          Financial president manages all the income and expense of the group.

-          Accountant positions in doing the list of income and expense.

-          Member plays role in advertising

-          Member plays role in doing research

-          Member plays role in education

-          Member plays role in community

-          Member play role in making relationship

-          Member plays role in supplying
